CISD is a small community school with a great potential. Students have an opportunity to learn and grow in various capacities. They can play several different sports and participate in other extracurricular activities, such as band and 4H clubs. However, there are several negatives that follow the positives. One of the negatives is leadership. The school certainly has the resources on an academic level, but have suffered tremendously on the athleticism side, which started with the hiring of Athletic Director/Coach Jullian Keggins. He is unfair and deceiving. He shows favoritism towards students and even some coaches, especially those he asks to perform personal favors for him. It is very disturbing to know someone like this is in front of our students everyday. Going forward, it is my hope the administration can find the right person to engage and be a role model to the promising students of CISD.
